I thought most people worked on their own hard drive(s) and then uploaded to a server hosted elsewhere for the public/members to access, creating an automatic back-up. If so, have your hosting company shoot you over a back-up.
Always good to make a back-up locally too anyway, especially of any content not yet uploaded to your host server. It's as simple as running a program when you go to bed or burning DVDs.
