I've been all over the US and South Florida is the closest to NYC in terms of being a cosmopolitan international hip city to live and work in.

Since you like the club scene after NYC, only LA, Vegas and South Beach come close to that lifestyle of all night clubbing.

I grew up in LA, have family that lived anywhere from Laguna Beach to Malibu, have lived on other parts of the coast in Cali, and have lived in AZ and FL (just south of Miami)

For me I hate humidity so although I loved the atmosphere of Miami the weather & bugs killed me (and in a few years more of ice caps melting some parts will just be gone anyways).

If I were looking for a happening spot as a single person to live I'd check out Scottsdale/Phx area (major amounts of hotties and schools) or maybe San Diego (still a tad humid but way more moderate that Miami for sure).

LA is completely out due to dirty ass crowds, dirty ass air, and in general being a dirty ass crowded place (but fun to visit still with a gas mask on) etc.

Las Vegas I hear is ok, but after a while I think people get tired of the seedy strip life. Great place to visit though, great place to invest in some rental properties.

that's my

good luck with the hunt
