Man Charged With Using Puppies for Shark Bait in Reunion
On August 18th, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society posted a reward of USD$1,000 to any policeman on La Reunion island who arrests anyone responsible for using live dogs or cats as bait for sharks.
This week the first violator was charged as a result of an effort by police to investigate the practice. The man will appear in court on September 30th. If convicted Sea Shepherd will pay the arresting officer the reward of USD$1,000. Sea Shepherd will pay USD$200 to the arresting officer for very successful conviction thereafter.

Cops arresting people so they collect rewards sounds pretty fucked up.
Imagine if they did that here. Some religious group offering $1,000 to any cop that brought down a porn site.
