That photo looks a little fake. Did anyone else notice the lack of blood?

Also, look at where the hook is piercing. Could that possibly support the weight of the dog, let alone a dog in the jaw of a shark?

There are more efficient lures and bait for catching sharks. Besides, Reunion is smaller than Rhode Island and has a population of approxiamtely 750,000. How many stray dogs do you think they even have there, and have you ever tried to catch a stray dog? Seems like a lot of trouble to go to in order to catch sharks.

If true, then it is a deplarable practice that should be, and most likely will be stopped, although it seems like it could be an urban legend (perhaps some drunk fishermen once caught a mean stray and used it as bait, and the rest is what legends are made of).
