I try to stay away from this argument because it is a bit like the alcohol/weed argument...it rarely goes anywhere worthwhile.

Saying that, I have learned to appreciate both. I grew up in the States and enjoyed nothing more than Monday Night Football with the family and a big bowl of nachos or popcorn. Then recently while on holiday in Spain with my English husband (been living in the UK for 3 years now) I discovered the interest of soccer (football over here). I'm not a convert, I don't have a local team that I support, nor does my life stop if there is footy on the tele. But I really enjoyed watching ALL the World Cup games. I especially enjoyed watching them in the pub/cafe with the other UK holiday makers. It was truly exciting to cheer the team on and I found the lower scoring quite thrilling.

On the other side, I do miss seeing the occasional NFL/AFL game and will stay up extra late just to watch a game replayed on Channel 4.

Cricket, on the other hand, I just don't get and prolly never will.

I said pub/cafe because that's where we went to watch the games. Most were on at either breakfast or lunch time (being that the World Cup was played in Korea and Japan) and the only places open were pubs and cafes that did food. Most opened specially just for the games.

I won't shred my passport because I enjoy travelling ALL OVER THE WORLD too much. Just because I don't tend to use it to visit the USA means nothing.

As for the razor and toothbrush, no I didn't throw away my razor, I prefer depilatory cream though. Being a girlie , they work much better and irritate my skin less. My oral hygiene is just as good now as it always has been. I agree that most Brits don't look after their teeth and gums well enough. I intend to teach my children the benefits of brushing, flossing and regular visits to the dentist.

All of this response is pretty pointless as [Labret] makes a living on this board of burning people just beacuse he fancies it. But its late and there isn't anything on the TV so I'm bored.
