    just got an SP2 cd in the mail

    should i install it?

    i'm hearing nothing but bad things about SP2..

    but i have a problem and i think SP2 is the only way to fix it..

    problem:

    the 'windows update' program on my computer is constantly 'downloading updates: 0%'

    it seems to be slowing my internet and downloads down too..

    i went to the windows update site and installed everything except SP2.. but it is still constantly running trying to download some update.

    is it possible to just stop this thing from trying to update.. and just install the updates from windows update on my own every once in a while?

          right click my computer and goto the automatic updates tab and turn it off

                  SP2 has lots of flaws which instead of correcting the problems, might cause more
                  harm to your PC.

                      Don't do it...My cpu is still fucked up after the update. Looks like i'm gonna have to call MS
