All my sites have took a severe beating from alexa in the last couple of months including gfy which has dropped from 3k to 72k.....does anybody know why ????????

Alexa really changed up how it ranks forums, so that explains the GFY thing...
No idea on non-forums dropping though

Alexa figured out their algorithm didn't suck enough ass, so they changed it a bunch of times in the last few months, to make sure that it sucked good ass. Changing the way sites rank making it look like all these sites (mine included) have gone down when in reality traffic is up. Who cares, alexa is at best a slightly useful tool.

Alexa is fucking worthless. It's totally inaccurate for all practical purposes. The only people who think it's all that are people whose sites are ranked highly ;) Google analytics are much more accurate, imho.

It's a very good tool to compare sites. And it's a lot more accurate then people give it credit for.
