I hadn't either!! Boy I dunno now I feel pretty ignorant. When they're UP, you can't even tell the difference... But if you've never seen one DOWN uncut, it really is weird... REALLY weird!! Not bad or anything. Just something to get used to

I remember when my son got his cut... 10 days old. Oh jeez it was a nightmare. I took him home from the doctors office after listening to him scream for an hour while they did it. THEN, I go home and they call me. They ask me if he stopped bleeding yet. I was like "WTF?" and checked his diaper. It was bloodsoaked front to back and when I removed it, he was squirting blood with every heartbeat. They had cut an artery!

Anyway long story short, I had to take him back in and he was held down by like 8 Dr's and nurses. It was horribly traumatic for all of us. Hardly worth it if you ask me, looking back on the whole situation.
