Not sure if this is what you mean but:
I have one server in the office that backs up all local office machines and all remote servers through FTP.
Ive tried numerous programs and scripts but specially over FTP connections and large files its not very reliable.
Ive found
http://www.handybackup.net to be very reliable. You can backup local machines, remote machines, to remote machines and write it to any media
(best is if you have 2 HD's in the backup server and duplicate those at the end of the daily backup batches).
