    So when you think it will start?
    Who will start it and why?
    I think it could happen in 20 years or so.

                                                          But it has not been recorded by historians as World War 3. It is known as the cold war. If another world war indeed breaks out I am sure it will be called WW3

                                                                              Some of you may want to read "Winn Schwartau's: Information Warefare". He was in charge of National Security and worked closely with the FBI and CIA for some 20+ years. In his book, he labels the "Cold War" as WWIII. I tend to agree.

                                                                              History books and facts don't always mesh well together. Be it as it may, the label of the Cold War has no bearing on it. I was just pointing something out that is possibly a historical error.

                                                                                              I predict that Europe will allow itself to be hijacked by Islamic extremists, and the war will be USA and Great Britain against the United Islamic European States.

                                                                                              At that same time, the Chinese and North Koreans will see their chance to make the landgrabs that they are looking over. The Chinese will start with Taiwan, and then may move as far south as Australia, who will fight back, but (no offence to Aussies, they just have a VERY small military), will be overwhelmed in about 3 days. They won't really bother will Malaysia and Micronesia.....they are already over crowded.....but would probably also be interested in Brunei...for the oil.

                                                                                              Should be an "interesting" period of history, huh?

                                                                                              I know, sounds a lot like WWII, but then the Geographic land arches don't change.

As far as the "world" is concerned (America isn't the whole world buddy) WW3 has yet to happen.

                                                                                                                                                                  Winn was never in charge of national security unless that was the name of a Nashville band he was managing while he was in the record business.

                                                                                                                                                                  When he wrote that book, the term information warfare was still considered sensitive and many at the C3I wing of the Pentagon were wondering how he got so much information on the subject, amazing what is available via open sources.

                                                                                                                                                                  The war on terrorism is now the new World War III, with Russia and Australia joining in, the late Marshall McLuhan wrote "World War III will be a global information war with no division between civilian and military participation."

                                                                                                                                                                  One only has to look on TV to see how true it is today.
