Don't donate to the red cross or united way, they're both cleverly disguised scamming organizations.

Find out what shelters people are staying in and send them anything you'd use in every day life.. clothes, toothpaste, water, deodorant, toilet paper.. or even stuff like gas cards, or wal mart cards.
