(Bruxism) Do you grind your teeth?

    http://www.ada.org/public/topics/grinding.asp

I'm just curious how many webmasters exhibit these symptoms.

I clench my jaw in my sleep (or so I've been told)... I've always wondered about that, because I'm not a tense person.

Gabe says I grind my teeth at night. I wonder what causes some people to grind and some to not.

I grind my teeth a lot when sleeping and it's no good. About three years ago I got my 2nd fitted mouth guard for when I'm sleeping because I wore through the other one. I don't use it all the time though.

I used to so bad I had to get a mouth guard for sleeping.

One of my kids has teeth as flat as a tabletop from doing that in his sleep... A mouthguard, hmm? might be a good idea.

                            (baby teeth, fortunately)

I think alot of it has to do with how a person handles stress, if you have alot of caffeine in your system, lack of exercise. I do it so bad that my jaw is always sore now. I'm told that when I grind my teeth it is very loud, and can be heard in other rooms.

Maybe I need to start exercising, and learn different ways to manage stress.

From what I gather, people can have stress but not be a "tense" person. Something takes the brunt of your stress, either mental, emotional, physical... Stress is a part of everyday life, and if you don't handle it the right way, it can rear it's ugly head in other ways.... anxiety, insomnia, bruxism, migranes, nervous conditions, depression etc..
