Thik nothing of that giant mushroom cloud a few weeks ago -- N. Korea admits to nukes

North Korea (news - web sites) says it has turned the plutonium from 8,000 spent nuclear fuel rods into nuclear weapons to serve as a deterrent against increasing U.S. nuclear threats and to prevent a nuclear war in northeast Asia. .......

if you want to be effective you would have to nuke n korea and iran at the same time

if you first nuke n korea Iran will know that they will be next and they will nuke something , and vice versa

going after Iraq was safe cause they knew he had nothing

Yup, and Iran and Cuba and China while youre at it. Actually Europe might eventually be a danger to the world. You should nuke them fuckers too.

the worst part is news is starting to come out that their labor camps are pretty close to that of the Nazi death camps. Entire families are taken to these camps and starved to death. Once the parents are killed the kids are just left to fend for themselves.

Anyone whom thinks Saddam was a brutal dictator seriously needs to have a look at North Korea. I've said from the beginning NK was the threat and had even worse human right violations than Iraq. To top that off their govt is into organized drug trade and has farmers grow opium crops to turn in to heroin instead of food.

If any country deserved to be invaded and have their govt over thrown it is NK.
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

so then we can expect the UN to move right in and handle it since none of their troops are tied up in Iraq.

                      right?

I'm not sure why we are afraid of North Korea having nukes. The moment they launch at us we launch at them, and I'm pretty sure we'd destroy their entire country where as they can barely reach the United States. Russia has had nukes for over fifty years and nothing has ever come of it.

wonder why N. Korea doesnt trust the USA and would ever want to build something like that - I mean - not like USA just goes ahead and invades a country without UN approval??

                              strange days indeed

yea right like that would ever happen.. the only thing the UN is good for is a police force after the hard part is over. So it's up to a country like us to deal with a country like NK.. However because of how Iraq unfolded under Bush admin. We do not have the resources and will not have the support to deal with NK.

Bush has fucked us and the world in more ways than one. Now because of Bush's actions with Iraq, a country like NK will obtain the bomb if they don't have it all ready and there will be nothing we can do about. You can say tank you to your fav pres for making the world a safer place to drill for oil. (oh wait they can't even do that in Iraq..)

NK isn't a direct threat to us, they are a direct threat to our allies Japan and South Korea, which if nothing else is a direct attack on our economy. I honestly don't think NK has the money to wage a war outside their boarders, I think the only war they could fight would be a defensive war. They have no real economy and you see how much the war in Iraq is costing us, there is no way NK could flip that bill.

The issues with NK is for one they probably are crazy enough to launch a nuke on Japan or South Korea if they thought we were going to attack. Number two their human rights violations make Saddam look like a nice guy and IMO rival the mass killing done by Hitler.

Bush is still giving the NK billions, don't believe everything you see on TV. He has also let them continue building a nuclear program, you can blame Clintion if you want , no biggie he has some blame, but Bush is the guy in office now. What has he done to stop them? It can easily be argued he has scared them into advancing their program.

NK has been given the most foreign aid of any country in the world yet their people are still starving. NK sells the food aid on the black market, it's not a big secret.

Sorry I thought you were one of the fools that supported Bush's Iraq plan.

hmmm, but saddam wasn't a threat to our allies Kuwait, Israel, Sadi Arabia, Qatar, and is not a direct attack on our economy because of oil.

Number two their human rights violations make Saddam look like a nice guy and IMO rival the mass killing done by Hitler.
well, since you don't think going to war over human rights violations is proper for Bush in iraq, we'll stick to them nuking japan or south korea.
If they did that, the UN would act (despite french objections) and we can sit back and cheer them on.

Imagining that we *must* do something about korea is silly. the countries around them have a much larger stake in it.

ok 12clicks no need to argue with someone that wants to call people fools because he doesn't agree with them.

but I will tell you this.. North Korea has been a problem for a long time before we went into Iraq. Having UN support didn't stop us from going into Iraq now did it? So don't use that crap line.

You are still claiming Saddam was a threat to the world, yet it has been proven he was not. But thats ok I know how people like you still believe everything that comes out of Bush's mouth.

Bush chose to take us into Iraq and chose to ignore North Korea and Iran.. Now geee guess what they both have very active nuke programs. I think that speaks well enough for it's self, you can argue all you want about it, but facts are facts, so don't waste my time, because I won't waste anymore time on you.

btw you can quote this post too if you want, and call me a fool or what ever because I don't sing your happy Republican songs around the campfire in Texas roasting weenies. So as you put it carry on "kid" and be sure to quote everything I just posted and come up with a good reply that George Bush Jr could be proud of.

One of the biggest problems in NK that I've seen reported was when a reporter went to south korea and did some "man on the street" type of questioning about the regional politics.
The oddest thing was that most of the people wanted reunification and were not liking the US maintaining presence there..
Ultimately, people are more powerful than any rogue nutjob with a bomb..

I havent seen any news one way or the other on whats up in the south there for the longest time.

You've read it, you can't unread it.
