Why do girls get mad when thier best friend hasnt called all week?

    Why do girls get mad when thier best friend hasnt called all week?

    I had a great conversation with a random guy at the bar the e other night. We were talking about how male and female relationships differ after we overheard a girl complaining that her best friend hadn?t called her all week.

    We both laughed and I said you know my best friend Rob and I can go months without talking and it doesn?t affect our relationship at all.

    When he calls we have 30 mins of catching up and its like biz as usual.

    No love lost.

    He agreed and said the same thing. Kinda odd i thought.

      I have no "best" friends.. i just have good friends. We talk every few months or so..sometimes once a year. We dont live close to one another..and I miss their company..but when we did live close by we still didnt pow wow on a daily basis..maybe every few weeks or so.

      The girl in question must have zero kids..she obviously is not occupied in her life enough to whine about something so trivial.

          exactly what i was thinking...she is probably more concerned with getting into the clubs...and knowing the doormen

              Girls are so cliquey it's sickening.

              When we first moved to Brandon 10 years ago, I had 5 different guys I could go out with within two weeks. Now, I can call up a ton of people at the drop of a hat.

              My wife has had maybe 2 girlfriends the whole time she's been here.

              Guys just seem more willing to hook up with another guy for a beer, golf, whatever.

              For women it seems MUCH tougher. They all seem to have "Friends" they've grown up with and don't want to let anyone else intrude. Of course, when they're not around, it's fair game to TALK about their "Friends".

              If you knew how nice my wife was and what an ASS I am, this statement would mean even more.

                  I so hear you Ron I know so many hot nice girls with ZERO female freinds.

                  I just cant understand why? They are nice and outgoing but always say shit like (after a girl says something kinda shallow or something they disagree with) THAT IS WHY I HATE GIRLS.

                      Yeah, but it doesn't really bother me.

                      Keeps her at home in the kitchen and the bedroom where she belongs.

                                      yeah, it's alot harder for girls to make friends. It gets harder when women are older.

                                      For myself, I moved to Toronto 10 years ago and it's been hard making friends. I know TONS of ppl here but they're not close friends who I share my life with.

                                      At the same time tho, I find that women are also intimidated by my personality most of the time.

                                      I love people period. I just choose my friends carefully now. Besides, I would rather have 3 close friends then 20 acquaintances. Being in the bartending industry helps alot tho when it comes to socializing..


                                      I can't deal with the catty BS so I stay away from it and hang with boys... except for a few good girlies

                                          For a lot of women in friendship and in a relationship the feelings expressed towards them are only as good as the last time they heard them. Men can, for example, here 'I love you' and unless 'I don't love you' is said they take it as read that the last 'I love you' still stands. Many women (and I am guilty of this sometimes too) read that as 'I love you now' and if they don't hear it again for a while start to worry because if they haven't been told it again then it might not still be valid. For friendships it is the same but with less extreme words. If she hasn't called me maybe she doesn't like me anymore?

                                          I am not really like that with friends but I can be with boyfriends. Don't make me guess your feelings, etc.

                                                      Have the same relationships with my best friend! I was away for a year studying in Australia, talked 2 my friend 3-4 times and it didn't effect our friendship at all.....we're still best friends!

                                                          I hear that one. I have lived in my area for 4 years..and the only girlfriends I have made are others in the industry and dont live near me...
                                                          I have found that the women that live around me are very into being the sweet little wifey for thieir husbands.. they go to church regulary and just make me sick with their devotion to their family that they dont care about what their hopes and dreams are.

                                                          My hubbys friends dont bring their wives to their partys.. they are all shocked when he brings me. I just tell them they should get a mate that they can be honest with and not have to sneak away to smoke pot and drink..its so fucking stupid... I tell them that their wives probably sneak away and do the same fucking thing.. dumbasses. They give my hubby shit for "letting" me go on my trips all the time... WTF..let me, bah.. i tell him where I am going..I don't need to ask.
                                                          Some girls cannot handle my blunt abrasiveness..fuck them..lol
