(PIC) Why people should keep wearing helmets

It's really stupid to ride without full protection...

My helmet looks very bad too after my crash. I agree. WEAR HELMETS, YOU WILL RIDE LONGER :-)

Something like that happened to me, but on a moped.
All I had was a big headache that lasted a couple of days. I don't want to think what would have happened if I had no helmet on...

better wear not very good-looking and comfortable helmet than just have a stupid death because of not wearing it. It's so true...

my boy crashed his honda cbr the other day he was only doing around 25-30 when he hit a man hole that had oil on it and the bike slipped out from under him he had a brand new ShoeI helmet and the mother fucker cracked he's lucky he wasn't going any faster god only knows what would have happend

my dad used to attend all the "helmet law ralleys" until his last really bad crash. My mom and him were both wearing helmets when a car ran them off a mountain road My dad fell off before my mom... the motorcycle flipped backwards and my mom took the full force of the crash to her head.

Her head started swelling inside her helmet immediately..thanks to the guy who pulled over to help them. He got her helmet off and started CPR till the ambulance showed up.

She died on the operating table a few times and spent 4 months in the hospital..3 months in a coma. she had brain damage, was seeing 8 out of one eye..two out of the other. She had tubes on both sides of her chest.. she had a tube coming out of her throat. She lost half her body weight and didnt even know what her kids names were. She was almost like a small child when she finally came to. She had to learn to read and write again. When they sent her home.. she weiged 80lbs and walked around on a walker with a patch over the eye that was seeing 8..so she was only had double vision.. she couldnt remember things seconds after you told her... she went through puberty again..

She was really loopy for a long time... maybe 12 years later..she was starting to be normal again. This was 26 years ago..my bro's tell me she is really starting to become quite demented again after all these years. She still has a blown out pupil in one eye.. she always looks fucked up on something.

My dad has never complained about wearing a helmet since then.
It saved my moms life..without it, her brains would have been splattered all over a road.

When I moved to Texas..they had no helmet laws.. I still wore a full face helmet..fuck the haters.

There shouldnt be laws forcing people to wear fucking helmets.. it's their life/body. it should be none of anyone elses goddamn buisness what you do and what risks you take..

On that note, i'd never get on a bike without one... but it should be my fucking choice not some prick ass fucking politician trying to impose his god complex on me.

let people ride without helmets....jsut think of it as population control

I stacked it the other day dirt jumping (mountain bike) but I had my helmet and pads on and I just bounced!

We always wear helmets when we ride... jackets and gloves, too. I've seen a few idiots riding around on sportbikes with no helmets, short pants, no shirts, and even flip flops. Crazy...

Of course, we live in a state where it's against the law to ride in a car without a seat belt, but you don't have to wear a helmet... go figure.
