I can tell them that I work with the mentally retarded.

hurricane hit it or something? if you can get for 0 down, and can afford the payments, go for it (if the asking price is reasonable for the area)

It will depend on your credit, the amount of points and the interest you want to pay.

in canada under 20% will require an insurance policy - which rises the total cost but it's possible to get 0% down.

without insurance it's hard to get anyone to finance under 15% - 20-25% is the norm.
This dog, is dog, a dog, good dog, way dog, to dog, keep dog, an dog, idiot dog, busy dog, for dog, 20 dog, seconds dog!

Now read without the word dog.

in michigan if you dont put down 20% you have to pay pmi insurance. which is about $50-75 on a 100k house i think.

I got 100% financing down on my $250k townhome. I had to put up 10% earnest money though, which will come back at closing time. There's nothing like a big chunk of change coming back to put into home upgrades.

As it stands on a 7 year ARM, payments for me will be around $1200 a month. I'll be selling in a year or 2, so this was the smartest choice for me.
