    Stop smoking mommy!

    As if you did'nt have enough reason to stop smoking, here's another: second hand smoker can lower your child's IQ.
    Researches at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Ohio, measured level of cotinine, a breakdown product of nicotine, in the blood of 4399 children and compared this with scores in intelligence tests. Even allowing for other factors, a cotinine level corresponding to very low levels of second-hand smoke had an impact on children's reading and reasoning skills.

      I call bullshit.
      My mom smoked like 2 packs a day the entire time I was a kid, and I have pretty decent IQ.
      She didn't smoke when she was pregnant though.
      ..and I'm off.

          FUCK! My parents drank, and smoked through when I was waiting to be born. Continued to smoke around me (70's type smoking, in car windows up ac on) through out my childhood.
          This pisses me off, I could of been like the a fucking genious.

              the test is bullshit, those who have nicotine in their systems are more likely to be living with parents of a lower income/intelligence level, and more likely to be parented as well.


              am I the only one who thinks past anything?

              it's a fucking bullshit test, of course it doesn't prove what it's supposed to by what its claiming.

                      I'm going to press charges against my mom.

                      If a parent smokes near their child, they should be charged with child endangerment. If a cop pulls you over and your kid is not buckled up... you are charged. If your chain smoking in that same car with your friend, kids in the back, windows up... nada.

                      What gives?
