So... basically he just assaulted her with a weapon for no reason, then left her on the ground? Why is that any different than if I walked up and hit someone in the face for no reason? It took place during the Democratic National Convention here in Denver. Cops are everywhere especially after finding guys with assault rifles and plans to assassinate Obama.

Yeah, no real threat here. Cops job is to protect other people and mediate. Not assault people who are not harming others.
