I though Bush/McCain were against timetables for Iraq?

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said that, while overall negotiations continued, the two sides had accepted the end of 2011 as an end date for the presence of the approximately 145,000 U.S. troops stationed in Iraq.

Well the end of 2011 is 10 months from the 2012 presidential elections. Hmmmm.

By the way Bush wanted us to stay until 2015.

They were against them until Obama went to Iraq and the leaders of Iraq agreed with him that a timetable could be a good thing. All of a sudden they were for it. Flip flopping at its fines.

The people of Iraq want us out. We have no business in the middle east and they'd be a lot less hostile to the U.S. if we just stayed the fuck out of their affairs.

              1) the iraqi's wanted it
              2) the withdrawal is dependent on a large number of conditions that must be met.
