1. The Beatles.
.....close close close behind is Led Zeppelin.
The Who are great as well, Baba o'Riley and PinBall wizard really are amazing songs. They've some great material, but no where near the quantity of quality material as Zeppelin or the Beatles. As for the stones? Never liked them. Jaggers' voice really hurts my ears.Comment

I'd put Pink Floyd in a class by themselves. Pure GENIUS.
But, because so much of what they did was experimental, unprecedented, and pure outta-the-box, it wasn't really "Rock" in the same sense as the above 4 bands.
