Sometimes I feel depressed over my status as a mortal being. I want to live forever and know all there is to know. Sometimes the reality that we all take for granted seems an alien notion with a superficial and even meaningless quality that I find very tragic. And then I have to go on with the trivialities of daily life, the realities of which almost renders the notion of the notion itself a foreign notion. Is ignorance a prerequisite of our construct of reality? Maybe I am just foolish.Comment

I get bummed pretty often actually, mostly because I work too much (in my opinion). Not much to do when most of your friends are at least a one hour drive away.
