I feel so bad for a lot of these pro-military families who are supporting Bush because they feel like they have no other choice. Support Bush, or spit in the face of what your son or daughter is risking their life for. Support Bush, or spit in the face of the friends who you watched die in Vietnam. Support Bush, or spit in the face of your own sense of honor, the only thing that keeps you sane after having done what you've done, and having seen what you've seen.
It's sad, really. Bush is taking advantage of this sympathy, abusing it shamelessly ... but what are these people going to do? Start spitting in faces?
