alot of people i know save up for like two weeks change they get from the stores ... dollar her e.. two bucks there .. stuff like that ... and go with about 50-100 of just spare money

If you asking for tips here don't play 20/40 play 3/6 or some thing. Also buy a book like Winning Low Limit Hold Em by Lee Jones or one like it to learn how to play well before playing a higher limit ring. Good luck wish you sat down at my table tonight.

Play tight but aggressive. Meaning don't play many hands (10 - 15%) but when you do play, play them hard. Gain respect at the table if you only play winners...and then after awhile you can steal a few pots.

If you've already asked the question 'how should I play,' and then brought up the situation where you were down what seems to be a substantial amount to you.... don't play. if you have the "I don't want to lose'' mentality, just stay home.

Otherwise, my advice would be find a lower limit game where the idiots play.... poker is just a game of bingo, all about luck right?

If it's "too low limit for me," remember winning what you consider a little is better than losing what you consider a lot.

I won 4 g's 2 weeks ago and my budy one 5 today at 40/80

I'm very good, I just like to hear others input in case i missed something.

First rule for me is never chase pass the flop at high stakes unless you own the table.

gambling is an excellent investment for smart investors such as yourself. the fact that you are intuitive enough to know to ask for advice on GFY is proof that you are already ahead of the game.

just remember three simple rules for gambling success.

1) never forget that you are probably better than they are.

2) it's not always about the math! it's about the "lucky feeling". practice hard to develop your sense of *lucky* so you will recognize faster when you just can't lose and know when to make the big bets.

3) always take the free drinks. fuck them. you are going to definately win all their money because you are very clever, you may as well hit them with a double whammy and suck down as many free drinks as possible.
