I'd buy the Civic and invest the rest of the money.
If you do some small upgrades and keep your car looking fresh Civic is perfectly fine. And who cares what the 1 in 10,000 say "Oh it's not a BMW", who gives a shit what they think. While they're hating, that extra money (should be) making you money.
