I don't think you would.Originally posted by EroticySteveThe Burning Man festival is a phenomenal exhibition of talent, commitment and expression. I'd feel inadequate there.

I have never actually stayed for the temple burn. The plan was to do so this year, but we ended up leaving only about 3 hours before the burn happened. That was kind-of sily. We should have just stayed.
I can't wait to see the pic's you guys have from that evening and all the rest too!

For anyone thinking of going sometime, be sure you speak with someone who's been and don your research. BM is a difficlut environment and quite franky I like the obstacles that are in place there as it helps insure that those who really want to be a part of it acutally go.
It's an experience like no other. So if you think it's for you, do make the effort.

Possibly. You wouldn't even need it to be an electric motor. Most of the art cars//trucks/busses operate on regular fuel.
Your vehicle must simply qualify as an art car and be approved by the DMV (Department of Mutant Vehicles) in order to be allowed to drive around the city and out onto the playa.
I've always wanted to have an art car there. What a great way to see the place and an excellent way to meet tons of people. Everyone wants to ride on an art car.

One last pic here for the greatest "human art" I saw at Burning Man this year....
I was shooting a pic somewhere near center camp when I hear... "Is that Rand?"
I turn and there stands Halcyon and Tassy! It was my first time meeting Tassy (who is so beautiful and amazing) and the energy surrounding these two beautiful souls is so tangible it rubs off on you. Tassy gives great hugs! So does Hal for that matter!
What an amazing couple that I'm proud to know. They are definitly an un-usual spectacle to many people. But to me... they're just normal folks with a super-human capacity for love and what's good.
I would venture to guess they were the most photographed couple at Burning Man this year.
God bless you both!

Thanks, Rand! It was great to see you, too. What a magic place. And I agree with what you said about research and talking to a vetran. You can't go "check out" burning man. You have to commit. You have to surrender. And you have to allow yourself to be a PART of it. There is no seating at Burning Man...only stage.Originally posted by Rand

Ya know...I'm used to getting my pic taken when I'm in my BM outfits. But that was my first time with tASSy at Burning Man...and holy moly....We were photographed like CRAZY. It was thrilling and exhausting. Can't wait til next year.Comment

I couldn't go to Burning Man this year. As close as I got was burning dessert (Baked Alaska...yummy, scrumptious):

OK... I'll post one more because this was pretty funny.
This was the Berating Chair.
You sat down and put on the headphones to listen as one male and one female voice insulted you for as long as you would listen.

rand, it was excellent to meet and hug you in person! we had a blast (of course) but were shocked ourselves at the number of people phtographing us when there's all this amazing stuff around to look at. we didn't put on "costumes" so much as dressed our usual sexual superhero role, so we felt right at home.Originally posted by Rand
