his writing is pretty excellent though...i think madonna and his marriage sucked the creativity out of both parties involved, we will see with revolver

and to add to what I said earlier, here is a review of the movie in question

Thrown right into the middle of the film was a collection of anime-style animated clips. While they were somewhat visually cool, I didn't see the relevance. Was I supposed to 'get it'? The mind trips were pretty intense for both Statham and Liotta's characters, but again, I think I missed something. Was I supposed to 'get it'? If you like testosterone-filled films, you'll probably probably enjoy Revolver whether you 'get it' or not. When you watch it, keep this in the back of your mind - maybe it'll help - WHO IS MR. GOLD?

yeah the movie got interesting reviews...we'll see what happens at the box office.

Being at the dinner was surreal. There was 16of us in the restaurant and NO ONE was allowed in OR out. Not even for a cigarette! The press was waiting to ambush her outside the restaurant. She is smaller than I thought but absolutely beautiful!

Ray and Tommy gained weight and were larger than I thought. Tommy nd the Sopprano dude got wasted off tequila shots.

she didn't say much and she looked very frail. The woman ate 4 tiny bites of fish and that was it. She is very stunning tho.

I saw Madonna walking through a hotel lobby in West L.A. when she was first getting popular. I remember thinking she looked really short and her clothes were grungy.

for the most part i'll agree. lock stock and two smoking Bs I liked a lot. got on dvd and watch it from time to time.

Yeah I was at the Toronto premiere also. I am a big fan of Lock Stock, Snatch and usually like art-house films but this one just lost me... It's very repetitive and tries too hard to be deep when most of what happens barely fits coherently into the plot or achieves any meaningful/rewarding character development.

It seems more content to string nice looking shots, half-baked gangster ideas and kabalah references (alot of 3's, 13, ego vs 'the light') together than to try and tell a good story.

I really wanted to like this movie and was hoping something would pull it all together at the end... but besides a strong Jason Statham performance (that lead nowhere), it was highly disappointing.

Odie, give us your honest review of the movie, unaffected by your dinner with the celeberati (if that's possible).

Oh yeah, and post the pix already. I'm already imagining the one of you and Madonna locked in a French kiss...hey, it's my fantasy, I can imagine whatever I want to.
