Just some advice... if somebody tells you they'll get your product on TV for $5k, they're most likely a scam. TV advertising requires lots of dollars. Wouldn't want you to lose your hard earned dollars for nothing.Comment

However I do press releases that garner meida attention and that equates into mainstream traffic-

It could just be an event that happens to work well with the news cycle. i.e. you should be writing a Halloween-themed press release right now. A writer with a deadline might grab for anything interesting that fits their assigment.HAL on TEDx:
