A judge in Phoenix has issued an arrest warrant for rapper DMX after he failed to appear for a court hearing, but is holding it until Tuesday afternoon to give his lawyer time to explain.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was supposed to appear for a pretrial conference on four counts of possessing drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of marijuana.
Commissioner Phemonia Miller also raised his bond to $25,000.
The case is one of several Simmons is facing in Phoenix. He's also charged with several animal cruelty and drug possession counts and with taking the identity of another and theft for allegedly giving a fake name when he went to a Scottsdale hospital earlier this year.
Simmons' lawyer, Charles Kozelka, said he had no comment.
