    First money you made on the web

    How did you first make money off the web???

    Here's mine:

    Back in 97 I figured out how to rank web pages high in AltaVista results since they used to index pages instantly as you submit them.. A company paid me $300 a month and I had them #1 results for keywords 'auction' and 'computer auction'. Not bad considering I was only 15 at the time. If only I could go back in time knowing what I know now. ahhhhhhhhhhh

      made a pk copy in word and made some bucks from xpics.. wish I was 10 years older with money at the time internet rocked..

                      1995.... I was running a free bikini site that had some decent traffic. Some guy offered to pay me $1k for a banner to his preggo site. He sent me a check, and I put it up there for a month. Worked so well the next month he gave me $2k for two banners. This went on for about six months.

                                                  Back in 96, soph in high school, I ran a decent sized internet security site. First money I made was through Amazon.com's affiliate program, made like 80 bucks or so.

                                                  Now I'm about to graduate college, have my own corporation, and am ready to start full-time. I love my job!

I thought they would send me a huge one like they do on TV when people win the lottery or a golf tournament. But no, just a regular sized check. I bought beer with it.
