T: Do you ever dream about Bush when you are sleeping?
MM: You know, I did have a dream this week about him. I dreamed I was on a tour of America going to speak and every place I showed up, he was already on the stage speaking, so I couldn't speak. I had that dream this morning. I don't usually dream about him. It was my first Bush dream.
MM: Ten years ago, I got fired from a magazine in San Francisco. I came back to Michigan. I was on unemployment. I got $99 a week. Then I met Kevin Rafferty, who is the director of "The Atomic Café". He recommended me to make a documentary film. So, I made "Roger & Me" with his help. He didn't say his cousin was the former president Bush. See, I have nothing against George W. Bush personally, because his family taught me how to be a filmmaker (Laughter).
"I try to make a habit of bouncing my eyes up to the face of a beautiful woman, and often repeat “not mine” in my head or even verbally. She’s not mine. God has her set aside. She’s not mine. She’s His little girl, and she needs me to fight for her by keeping my eyes where they should be."
