Bought one for my son yesterday, very nice. The only negative is it does not support firewire so you need USB 2.0, USB 1.1 works but s.l.o.w.

I haven't seen a photo of one next to a standard iPod photo.

My mother wants one of these, but why not just spend another $100 and get the 20 gig?

So I went looking to see if I could find some comparison photos and ended up getting myself a new toy.

The new Motorola ROKR phone with iTunes built in. Basically the iPod phone.

they looked pretty cool, grabbed my interest as well

I was going to wait, because they're supposedly going to have an entire line.

Like always, I couldn't. Not sure if it will replace my Smartphone, but we'll see.

I already carry my iPod with me wherever I go. I just needed something new to play with.

Talk time - 6.5 hours
Standby time - 260 hours

That's an improvement over the Motorola I'm using now.

I was going to buy the black nano off of the apple site which allows for a free 46 character lazer engraving. I was thinking, "George Bush Does Not Care About Black iPods" then decided the novelty would wear off after a couple weeks.
I ended up just driving down to the apple store and picking one up there. The thing rocks. One annoyance is that the headphone jack is on the bottom. Doesn't really matter, but it means you have to put it in your pocket upside-down. And while the small storage capacity might seem lame, I like it. It means I am actively deciding what I want to listen to and only putting that on, instead of dropping a whole lot of crap I will never listen to on it.
