I have 2 Boxers, a German Shepherd and a Border Collie, and not ONE of them will listen to anyone in my house BUT me.. the reason being is that I show them who is boss. NONE of my dogs have ever had anything more than a thump on the nose or ear and a firm voice from me, and the rest of my family can't even fathom even raising their voices at my animals... LOL
Mine were taught not to take things hard or to take things that weren't offered to them by a simple thump on the nose and my telling them firmly to take it easy.
I would die if any of my animals ever cowered away from me like you are saying yours is doing. Maybe YOU think it is funny that she's hiding from you, but just remember, she WILL get enough and she WILL show you who's in charge if you keep this kind of discipline up, and she damn sure isn't going to be there when you NEED her to be treating her like this.
There isn't ONE of my animals that wouldn't defend me and my family to the death and not one has had more than a flip on the nose, as I mentioned.
