Ibill has a tremendous amount of resources. I have no doubt that they either will find or have already lined up other companies. If I had to guess I would say they have already lined up other companies and I am not worried at all about getting my money. To the people who wrote that they predicted this I say you are full of shit. I am sure all of you won every football game you bet on this past weekend. I would say the other company needed some time to set everything up. I am guessing 1 month. Ibill was probably trying to work with first Data to give them just a little more time. They may have been holding out trying to play hardball on what fees were going to be charged by the new bank and they "may" be able to have it set up before it is too late, but even if they do, a lot of damage has already been done.
How many of you would make a verbal agreement with your bank when millions a day is at stake. EVEN if it was a written agreement, the backup should have already been in place.
As for having it up and running by tomorrow, if the process was already in place and all that was left was signatures and flipping the switch, then yes it is feasible they could continue. For how long after that would be a better question.
This happened on purpose.

During the transition, we temporarily operated in stand-in processing from noon to 8:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, September 22, 2004. Please be advised that we are no longer doing stand-in processing.
All US credit card transactions that occurred during stand-in processing, including scheduled rebills, will be visible in CMI starting tomorrow, Thursday, September 23, 2004. Going forward, new sales will appear in CMI as usual.
