Or you can add a cheap 2nd video card depending what you want to do with your second monitor...
I have 2 monitors on my Macs and the 2nd one is used to put photoshop tools and stuff like that, so in don't need greatest quality on that 2nd screen

If you don't need anything huge to play games and such I highly recommend these Matrox G550s.

We have about 10 of these for the office and the DVI is flawless. No unwanted shadows or distortion on the second monitor after 2+ years of use. Surely someone else can vouch for these cards
