    this girl I'm seeing want's to restart smoking after 2 weeks of quitting...

    and it makes me feel like shit

    I usually don't care at all when the girls I see smoke, but this one, dunno, there's something I really like about her

    and the fact that she couldn't put it down for good...



    what do you guys think?

                  yeah, out of all the girls Im "seeing", I seem to be attached to her the most, she's a sweetheart

                  and it hurts me that she "can't" stop smoking, she was doing pretty damn good

                  both her parents smoke

                          The first month is going to be the most fucked up time in a quitter's life. She's going to feel absolutely horrible. She's going to cough up and hack more than you thought was possible, and she's going to feel the very wind get sucked out of her.

                          I cannot tell you when it will stop, but for me, it stopped almost a month after I quit smoking.

                          Just tell her not to worry about "all those cigarettes" she won't be smoking, but to just know that she's not going to smoke the very next cigarette.

                          She's already over the hardest part if she's been clean for 2 weeks. If she restarts, then there's another problem.

                              I saw her today and she told me she was craving hardcore, but I told her to try to keep her mind off her

                              she is also feeling very down, I believe family problems

                                              If your care is sincere you should urge her to stop drinking alcohol during partytime.. goes for you too.

                                              If alcohol was invented today it would be considered a hard drug.

                                              If drinking is OK so is smoking!

                                                          Tell her that's fine she took the cigarette, and she still has a way out.

                                                          Even to this day, I feel that I want a cigarette from time to time, but I remember how shitty I felt compared to how I feel now. When you're smoking, you don't realize that you feel as shitty as you do.

                                                          Tell her to not kid herself, there is no way anyone could just reduce the number of cigarettes. I have a lot of self control, but cigarettes were my downfall.

                                                          The only way I could do it was go to bed and not smoke that last cigarette before bed, then wake up and take a Commit Lozenge.

                                                          That's how I quit. I bought 4 boxes of those lozenges and I finally didn't need the last box. I kept the last blister pack from the last box as a symbol of my past addiction and in case I needed it. I don't need them any more.

                                                          I don't even need the symbol anymore, but I've just been too damn lazy to clear them out of the medicine cabinet.

                                                                                  exactly, but I am not around her all the time, I spend maybe 3-4 hours a week with her or so...

                                                                                  I can't control what she does on her other time, and I am scared that if I MENTION "don't smoke", it will make her want that cigarette even more

                                                                                      An alcoholic can kill themselves drinking, but it's a slow death via liver disease.

                                                                                      Drinking does, however, kill other people when a driver decides to get behind a wheel after knocking back a few. This is stupid.

                                                                                                                              tell her it hurts you but its her choice to quit, the first fight or if you break up and she will go back to smoking if its based on you

                                                                                                                              I quit 1 1/2months ago, not for my fiancee, but myself - tell her to cut down until she is able to do 2 a day, then she can do cold turkey.. either way, keep supporting her, but you may have to face living your life with her smoking... if you cant prepare yourself for that - then its unfair to her to change for you, and its not right for you to put up with someone that does.
