The soldier was discovered with the donkey in an abandoned house in a small village... If your only alternative for sexual release is to cough up five grand ? which must seem like fifty grand in Afghanistan ? for a bride or to steal away with a donkey, you have to admit the donkey looks like a pretty attractive option. Why waste your life savings on a temporary pleasure? The donkey might not be quite as attractive as the local women, but they wear those head-to-toe tents anyway. Throw a scrap of canvas over the donkey and it probably makes a decent surrogate.
