good info, but a bit outdated - because lots of people are so frustrated with spam that asking for their "myspace" sometimes yields better results. <-- obviously it depends on your target demographic.
but don't waste time with email/etc, just exchange #'s - but always offer to give them your number first, (that way they are in control of the situation) and they usually reciprocate.
I pretend like I can't find a piece of paper to write my # on (frantically searching), and so I take out my wallet and pull out a dollar bill, tear it in half and write my name/# down on one half and give it to her. she'll usually write down her # on the other half for you because you've already proven to her that you're deeply interested in her (invested in her, LOL) - interested enough to rip a $ bill in half just to get her #. they are always impressed (mildly/wildly) and trust me, the girl will keep your number (sentimental value and something to show off to her friends). She'll call you soon or she will definitely remember you if you're the one calling. if she's the kind of girl that get lots of phone numbers when she goes out, your half-dollar will always stand out and not get thrown away. Works very well. and a small price to pay.
another tactic involves using your mobile cam-phone, but I won't discuss it right now...
