That's horse shit. Most people are poor because they're born poor and they have no chances to change that. Our system needs poor people to keep us rich, so don't go thinking that everyone could work themselves up to middle class if they just work hard enough, that's a complete fairly tale. As long as there are rich people there will always have to be poor people. Don't buy into the shit the teach us about all poor people being lazy and drunk and deserving to be poor. Some people have to work the minimum wage jobs, and if you think that it's possible to make minimum wage and not be poor, you're fooling yourself. This hurricane is really showing the true colours of a lot of white Americans, including the President. I think you're the only developed country in the world that would be fine with not doing everything possible to help a group of people in serious distress just because they're poor. Now that's some fucked up shit right there.
