I reread your comments and it becomes painfully clear you believe this country needs a Federal Mommy.
It is scary to think that you NEED a centralized government who does not meet your needs or desires to control your entire existence.
I fear people like you. Fear them. People who truly feel that if Washington DC vaporized this country would cease to exist.
There are those of us, who would rejoice, at the destruction. The most harmful thing to this republic has been the abdication of power from the states to the Federal entitity. States are SUPPOSED to know what their constituents want. We are a consumer, albeit a forced consumer, of their services. Who knows what people want in New York? The Federal Gvt? Or The people of New YorK?
