Right now I doubt any international aid, except maybe for example the oil that Germany and Venezuela is releasing to keep prices down, is going to help. Accepting other forms of intenational help now is not going to do any good. Whats needed is money to pay for reconstruction and some international technical assistance to make it happen fast.
Accepting help after a major disaster strikes your country is NOT a sign of weakness. No country on earth has the infrastructure to quickly deal with a disaster like this. Guess the administration made a decision not to accept help for whatever reasons. Im sure the people on the ground are eager to hear the reasoning behind that decision.mehComment
