He has the whole doorway for his web. I just about walked into it the first time I saw him.
I am not trying to creep you out but, some spiders can give a nasty bite, one got me while sleeping on the lip and I looked like Donald Duck in the morning, lip all swelled up.

They don't have to be poisonous to hurt like a mofo!
And most spiders have small amounts of poison, even if it doesn't normally harm humans... Like Daddy Long Legs. They have poison... but it doesn't hurt us...
i have a spider on my deck that looks a lot like that one. i've been collecting live bugs for the last four days and putting them in its web. within minutes the spider is wrapping the bug in a web and then "eats" it . . . i think it is one of the coolest natural things i've ever seen

ACTUALLY, the daddy long legs is the most venemous of the domestic spiders - it's fangs however are too small to penetrate human skin and therefore they can't hurt us. In the unlikely event that you're another spider though - beware as they will fuck you up
I have one too, didn't know what it was, just called it hairy..(thanks for posting, now I know )
Couldn't hold very still for the shot..
I don't know know what kind this one is either--
I caught it in a small bag and then froze it by holding a compressed air can upside down and dripping the liquid on it.

WRONG. That is a complete myth. You just got chumped by one really old lame urban legend that by now I woulda thought everyone knew was false.

There is no reference to any pholcid spider biting a human and causing any detrimental reaction. If these spiders were indeed deadly poisonous but couldn't bite humans, then the only way we would know that they are poisonous is by milking them and injecting the venom into humans. For a variety of reasons including Amnesty International and a humanitarian code of ethics, this research has never been done. Furthermore, there are no toxicological studies testing the lethality of pholcid venom on any mammalian system (this is usually done with mice). Therefore, no information is available on the likely toxic effects of their venom in humans, so the part of the myth about their being especially poisonous is just that: a myth. There is no scientific basis for the supposition that they are deadly poisonous and there is no reason to assume that it is true.
Its pretty common knowledge the average human consumes an average of five spiders in their sleep throughout a lifetime

Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

I really don't like spiders!! I think my basement has some, I try to stay away from there! Can't you move it out of your door way? LOL...
My Ex-husband SKULL-BUITRE ran off to Colombia with OUR money and screwed me after I helped him build OUR business.
He is hiding in Colombia and never paid the settlement $ from our divorce!
