The world, and the US may be both a safer and more pleasant place if they did.

It's all "mouth" and a load of junk metal called "arms" - as tho that's the solution to all the worlds problems.

Some need to clean their own backyard out before talking about others.

just wondering when was that chance ? it was other way around before, usa would get owned 10-20 years ago... maybe now you have a chance when russia in a bad period.

The Russians were attacked and refuse to reward the aggressors with talks and discussions. The US thinks this is wrong.

Russia rounded angrily on America yesterday making it clear it was in no mood to be lectured on democracy or fighting terrorism after the Beslan school massacre.

The comments, made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, were unusually strong and were a direct riposte to remarks made earlier this week by US Secretary of State Colin Powell.

Mr Powell had expressed Washington's unease about sweeping new anti-terror reforms which have been proposed by President Vladimir Putin that would concentrate even more power in the Russian leader's hands.

The US is not attacked and invades a country. Does anyone else spot the double standard?
