The lack of control has been brought on by the lack of LOCAL leadership. The Mayor of New Orleans isn't a leader, nor are the Police Chief, Fire Chief or the Governor of Louisiana. It's funny that when there was a hurricane in Florida last year, where Bush's brother is Governor and where he needed votes, everyone on the right applauded the quick response of the federal government. Now they are saying that this much worse storm should have been handled on a local level.
Just ridiculous.
