None of them said a word, but someone in the Administration building apparently called campus police and had them removed from school grounds, many of them were arrested, and I know of four who spent a night in jail.
Campus police is NOT a well-liked entity now, because even those who didn't agree with the "anybody but bush brigade" didn't think they had done anything wrong. Many of the professors are hopping mad as well.
Stuff like this can easily incite a multitude of vengeance tactics. Someone in the heirarchy of campus is missing a few marbles.
Also, how many of the protestors were actually students? Is this a private or public college? Does the campus have rules against loitering? Does it have rules about remaining on campus when not in class?

I feel terrible for her loss. Having your child killed would be the worst. I am sure her son knew the risks when he joined the military. If he did not, then that should be the question asked. I feel for her since she does not believe Iraq is a justified war. The gathering was in the Quad: A large, grassy area, boxed in by campus streets, used for gatherings of all types. As far as I know, there should have been no problems there. No safety hazard whatsoever.
The protestors, as far as I know, were all students. The "ABB Group" is a student group. I've seen flyers for them here and there before they get torn down, (much like the flyers for the Campus Pagans and the Elclectic Society-Gay/Lesbian/Bi group here). Many times, the advertisments that are put up for groups other than the College Baptists or the Campus Christians get torn down, even the College Republicans and Democrats usually don't have a flyer up for more than a couple of hours before someone tears it down.
Public school, governed by the state of Tennessee Board of Regents. If there's a problem with students being on campus after classes, then they're going to have to relocate about 5000 students. That's approximately how many students live on campus.
The gathering was held during "dead hour" on Tuesday. "Dead Hour" is 11a-12p, and is the time when no classes are in session which gives student organizations a good time to meet. *shrug*
No one has figured out why this group was arrested. Really strange...or not so, considering our location.

Secondly, in the case of Kuwait, it was not the US declaring war, but the UN with a coalition ( a real one that time ). US , France, UK, Canada, etc .. supplying troops .
As for the Balkans, it was NATO, since the UN was not gung-ho for that.... Again . not the US.
But what I refered to was unilateral actions by the US...
