HaHa...Good one, Holly!!!
I paid over $30 for a gas fill-up today at over $3 per gallon (and we don't even rely on oil from the Gulf area). That's B.S. considering that some of the U.S. strategic oil reserves have supposedly been released (much faster than relief came to the people of New Orleans), and international strategic oil releases in the millions of barrels have already been pledged.
I'm guessing that the "reserves" (foreign and domestic) will be replenished at U.S. taxpayer expense at a rate much higher than the reserves cost us. Another example of a government "corporate welfare" program.
Businesses profiting from such suffering should be punished as surely as any looters should.
It takes minutes for gas prices to go up, and weeks for gas prices to go down, under the Bush regime. Does anybody even really wonder why anymore?
What do you think our sons and daughters are really dying for in Iraq? The Iraqi people are no closer to democracy today than they were when we invaded them years ago because of Saddam's non-existent weapons of mass destruction. All we have to show for our efforts is lots of dead Americans and foreign civilians, many or most of which had nothing against the U.S.
I'm sick and tired of all of this. If you are too, then let's hear it.
Otherwise, stay silent and let the right-wing fundraiser bullies keep raising money to destroy our rights and attack our industry until we are as defenseless as the refugees of New Orleans.
Fight back America!!!
