    FEMA Director is a total scumbag

    this motherfucker is on with brian williams right now and has the fucking balls to deflect a direct question as to why cant they FEMA cant just drop pallates of water with the helicopters that have been flying around for 4 days

    he respondes and says how bad the looters are

    then cant give a time when it will be done

    this fucker needs to be shot on site.

          I took time off and worked for FEMA for 3 months last year. They are a great bunch of people who work harder and are more dedicated than anyone I have every met. I worked from 7 AM to 7 PM 7 days a week, along with everyone else who worked for them. They do a fantastic job of organizing and bringing help where it is needed. It is easy to criticize but then again you would probably find a way to criticize anything.

              You people think the Feds run things - they don't !

              FEMA does what the Governors, Mayors and Police Chiefs tell them to do.

              Look at 9/11 and all the Florida Hurricanes and who was running
              things during these disasters?

              It was the Governors and Mayors not the Feds.

              The LA Governor and NO Mayor is sitting in a command
              center 180 miles agaw and they tell FEMA what they want them to
              do and FEMA passes it on the the Federal agencies.

              Also, most of the military you see are National Guard troops who
              are under control of the Governor and not the feds.

              The police in NO are still under control of the police Chief and not
              the Feds - at least not yet.

              Finally, everyone keeps saying the Military needs to go in and restore
              law and order - just one problem - it's against the law for them to do law
              enforcement within the US Borders !

                                          You are criticizing him because he is not willing to answer a bullshit question. Do you think that FEMA or the RED CROSS do not have people watching TV reports. Do you think that the only people who are working to assist the victims are the ones getting air time. FEMA doesn't have a huge staff of people to handle a disaster of this magnitude at its disposal. When a disaster happens they have to scramble to hire people to fulfill their needs. When people say why don't they just have the helicopters just drop off water, don't they understand that the helicopters that they do have use of are not sitting on the ground but helping other people. Even if they did drop off water what would be a sufficient amount, 50k bottles 100k to 25k people, that would last half a day and then you who will probably do nothing to try to assist but instead will decide that "this fucker needs to be shot on site".

Why aren?t you complaining about all the clean-shaven, well fed reporters that have turned this into a reality show? All the reporters seem to have fresh batteries for their cameras and travel freely between cities; if they really cared, they would be bringing in supplies to these people instead of trying to get the dramatic shots.

                                                                                          The head of FEMA warned NO last year that they needed to do something to prepare for a major hurricane. NO knew this could happen yet did nothing to prepare for it. They knew the levees could give way 2 days before the storm, why didn?t they prepare with food and water for the people that would be stranded if the city flooded?

                                                                                              Now CNN just reported with video that the main hospital still has over 200 patients, where they are still doing manual respiration.

                                                                                              Either these guys are total bullshit artists, and bad at it, or they truly have no clue what's happening on the ground.

                                                                                                          Go to http://www.fema.gov or http://www.foxnews.com or http://www.cnn.com or http://www.wesh.com not one is reporting that FEMA has stated that all the hospitals were evacuated. Which station did you see this report on? Why isn't any station reporting that the director made false statements, you know they would jump all over him?

                                                                                                              The important thing in all of this is that you have to understand that the FEMA director is not even trained in Emer Response - this guy was the general counsel (lawyer) for the former director up until 2003 - he just took his place - and the guy before him was the manager that ran Bush's election campaign.
                                                                                                              That said - these guys are NOT responsible for the initial response - that is done by region 6 of the FEMA in Texas under the direction and request of the governor of La. - not the direction of the Director who is just a figure head under the homeland security blanket.

                                                                                                              Most important - instead of blaming everyone in the world - why dont you all go down to your local blood bank and give some blood so our friends (and fellow American citizens) caught down there will have a better chance of living for the future - or if youre afraid of needles - give the Red Cross a call and give a little
