Originally posted by brand0n depends on the size of the blinds, i dont play crazy high dollar poker. i dont consider myself that good, i just like to play.
I have no idea what I'll be able to find. At home we just play $0.05/$0.10, haha, but it's hard to go any higher when all your friends are in school. It's good fun though, I have no idea what kind of money I'd be willing to play with. Depends how I do I guess. I play pretty tight.

They have 2/4 holdem at Monte Carlo....that's the lowest limits I've seen in Vegas.
Bellagio has the nicest poker room I've ever seen, but you'll almost always have to wait quite awhile to get a seat at the table.
I'm thinking of going off the strip to some of the older joints like Binion's and seeing how the games are there.

I'd probably start out with 2/4 and see how I do. I've never played with anyone outside my circle of friends so I really have no idea how good or bad I am.

Drop $50 or $100 into an account at party poker or pokerstars and play some low limit shit there.
It'll give you some new competition and hopefully sharpen up your game.
Plus you'll notice at low limits online people will call you down with anything or nothing...which is very similar to a 2/4 game in Vegas.

Thats true there was allways someone who would stay in to see the last cards in vegas. And there was also the people that would fold there cards when they can just check and see the next card lol

If you have a partner in the game, you can break the house.
One situation is for one of you to be sitting last (right before the dealer). This guy will most always lose in an attempt to make the dealer bust. The other guy usually sits first and stands on anything above 11 (so can't possibly bust).
I've tried it with a friend who used to be a Blackjack Delaer and it's a very good technique
