Yeah..I've seen similar first hand...when my building in Downtown Fort Worth took a direct hit from a Tornado..and yes I was home...the only way I can explain it was the streets were a river of glass.
Now every time it rains I put my shoes on...a habit I've developed since then..because you never know when you have to bail.
My God if Ivan had hit Florida on its original forecast track and gone straight up the middle of the state, I think the entire
state would have looked like it was nuked.
Pensacola is my home. Not looking forward to returning.

There are still 60,000 homes without power here in Palm Beach County from Frances almost 2 weeks ago. Still people without phone service also. Tons of trees all over and dangling power wires on many streets.
They said its going to be months till this area looks like paradise again and Frances was nothing compared to Ivan.

My Ex-husband SKULL-BUITRE ran off to Colombia with OUR money and screwed me after I helped him build OUR business.
He is hiding in Colombia and never paid the settlement $ from our divorce!
damn we are so lucky that one decided to by pass central florida.. I don't think this area could have taken another hit like that. I really feel for those people.
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.
Try and explain what these people did to deserve this huh?

Nothing.
To think that the weather is a result of something people did is absolutely stupid.
If God wanted to take his wrath out on anyone, he would not send a hurricane. He'd send something far worse.
Its simply a bad weather cycle this year. If you look, this past winter was a bitch as well. I bet we have a lighter than normal winter this year across the US.

You took the words right out of my mouth. When will people realize that we're causing this havock on ourselves?
I feel horrible for all of those who've had to deal with this weather. Many people are homeless, possessionless and some even dead. My prayers go out to all.
it hit dead on to orange beach/gulf shores, the home of the florabama bar, kinda a combo of bikers and rich boat folks, http://www.florabama.com which is a very cool bar on the state line with a line painted in the center of the oyster bar...half florida/half alabama..........
a naughty place where a few years ago they spent a bunch of time recovering bales of weed that floated up after an ocean police chase........
