I think its a defensive mechanism they use, if they find some other girls hair, they'll flip out. If they find their own, they know you haven't been sharing the goods with anyone else

Thats what I was thinking and my girlfriends hair is Red so it's kinda tuff to pawn it off as their's LOL.
BTW my girlfriend lets me do whatever I want but sometimes the other chick gets upset.
