    hmm directnic lost its employees?

Intercosmos Media Group, Inc., (dba directNIC.com) is going to pay all employees hourly and salaried this pay period the same exact amount as last pay period. Unfortunately, we have been unable reach anyone in accounting who has handled payroll in the past and we have not heard anything about them.

So we need to track down Ronald Eldridge, Betty Daigle, and/or Yolondis Gilmore. If you can contact them and pass on this message that would be very helpful. We know that our employees are in need of money and getting money to them will be difficult without that information from accounting. Alternatively, we will find a way to estimate and pay employees. If we can't compute exact payroll and we don?t hear from accounting, then we will direct deposit money into your account if we can obtain bank information.

Information we need from accounting emailed to Sigmund Solares and carbon copied to Noah: 1) A step by step on how to submit the direct deposits? 2) Where is the list of information on payroll? 3) Where are the bank account numbers and routing information for each employee kept? Where is the specific folder where this information is kept?

Information we need from each employee emailed to Sigmund Solares and carbon copied to [email protected]: 1) Your bank account number and routing information; 2) the name of your account; and 3) your last payroll amount; and 4) if you need more money than your last paycheck at this time please give information about what you need and we can see what we can do.

    Thanks,

What is your concern then? that the employees that work at directnic cant be located because there is a possibility some are dead, stranded or sitting on a roof of a building? Remember that there is no communication downtown and their employees cant just call in - if they are still alive.

Ive read that. Wasnt aware that their employees where physically lost: i assumed they evactuated and a few stayed in NO and in the office.
Not aware how many people work for DN.

My concern? My business relies (critical domains and a few k of domains) on them. And how much i sincerely admire the way they care for their business and how they handle things right now i need to make critical business decisions.

For some reason i cant reach the directnic website (can you? www.directnic.com ?) so transferring isnt an option for the most mission c. domains.

Trust me: although im not in the warzone and im very fortunate to live the good life i have reason for concern.

                    Update:

Site is indeed working for certain people (not for me and some others in Europe i checked with) but there is a connectivity issue.. 100% sure.

But even if there wasnt: they are running on diesel and no way things will be back to normal (electricity number 1, missing employees number 2) for any time soon to come.

So basicly: move you most critical domains ASAP. When their site goes down no way to confirm a transfer or update your do main settings..

Edit: i assume current connectivity problems some are experiencing is because of their move to another datacenter.

                          Impressively misleading thread title.

I have no idea how you took that message from Directnic and let your simple mind spin it into "losing employee's" but do you have any idea what those guys are going through to keep their clients as uninterrupted as possible?

Common knowledge but before you say it, Directnic hosts, and will host, every domain which we manage.

                          Serve your drama elsewhere.
